58th Annual Pasta Dinner April 26th, Thursday - 04/11/2018

Middletown Kiwanis will be holding their 58th Annual Pasta Day & Silent Auction on Thursday, April 26th. It will be held at the First Church hall on Court Street. Lunch is from 11:30 to 1:30pm. Dinner is 5 to 7 pm.

Delivery of 5 mor more lunches is available.

Be sure to visit our silent auction table with lots of great items donated by our neighbors and local businesses!

Food Drive for Amazing Grace Food Pantry a Big Success! - 02/03/2018

On Feb. 3rd, Middletown Kiwanians accompanied by MHS Key Club members collected donations of nonperishable food items at Stop & Shop for the Amazing Grace Food pantry from 8 am to 4pm.

Kiwanis organizer Karen Nocera reported that over $1,000 pounds of food items and $415 in cash were turned over to Amazing Grace as a result.

A big thank you to Stop & Shop of Middletown and their generous customers who made this possible! 

IDS Fearless 5K Proceeds Donated to Warm The Children! - 12/20/2017

It's a little cold for a road race but the runners and sponsors in the Independent Day School's Fearless 5K, helped to raise some nice funds this fall to benefit Warm the Children. Janet Sisson presented a check for almost $1500 in proceeds from the event to Lynn Baldoni, Middletown Kiwanis Warm the Children program coordinator.

Mondo's Restaurant Fundraiser a Success! - 12/05/2017

Mondo's restaurant held a fundraising evening on Tuesday, Dec. 5th donating 10% of all sales from 5 pm to 9 pm to Warm The Children. Many of our supporters came out to enjoy Mondo's great food and support Warm The Children.

Owner Keith Vibert presented Warm The Children with a check for $350 from the event. Thank you again for another successful event!

Holiday On Main 2017 Volunteering - 11/24/2017

Middletown Kiwanians volunteered for the Annual Holiday on Main event hosted by the Middlesex Chamber of Commerce. Selling the Chamber's popcorn and pretzels to the crowds. Some of our elves also assisted Santa who listened to little boys and girls Christmas wishes.

Kiwanis Provides Participates in the Thanksgiving Project - 11/22/2017

Again this year, the Middletown Kiwanis participated in the Middletown Thanksgiving Project. Our representative member Bill Warner coordinated our participation and as a result over 50 holiday food baskets were collected and distributed to families in need at the Salvation Army on Main Steet by our members. Great job!

MHS Key Club's Annual Powder Puff Game - 11/20/2017

Each year the MHS Key Club sponsors a Powder Puff Football Game and each year spectators are given an entrance discount if they donate a food item. Kiwanis members help support the Key Club at their event by collecting the food items at the entrance gate. The food items collected are doanted to the Amazing Grace Food Pantry to help those in need.

Kiwanis Food Drive a Success! - 10/18/2017

The Kiwanis Club of Middletown held a food drive on Saturday October 7th and Sunday October 8th at the Middletown Stop and Shop.
Several club members helped solicit non-perishable food items for Amazing Grace Food Pantry. Thanks to the generosity of the Stop & Shop customers, the club was able to donate over 1,000 items, weighing in at 1002 pounds of food. The Kiwanis food drive raised roughly enough food for over 1400 meals.
Did you know: a $1 donation becomes 4 meals?   That’s 5 pounds of food!
This was our first food drive but we plan on doing several throughout the year. Our next food drive is scheduled for Superbowl weekend at Stop and Shop in Middletown...

Warm The Children Receives $1500 from Cromwell Walmart - 08/30/2017

The Kiwanis Warm The Children program received a $1500 Local Community Grant from the Cromwell Walmart. Store Manager Ed Siochij approved the grant request submitted by program coordinator Lynn Baldoni. Baldoni stated: "This grant will allow us to serve approximately 20 children this upcoming season. We are very appreciative of the continued support from the store manager and his team in Cromwell."

The new shopping season is fast approaching. Warm The Children expects to serve more than 750 children again this year. Each child will be alotted up to $80 to spend on new winter clothing and footwear. More than 150 shoppers will assist the families as they shop. 100% of the donation...
